Yebo Tours plans and organizes tours and safaris to all Uganda’s National Parks. We have a strong affinity with the incredible Murchison Falls National Park closest to our base in Masindi on Uganda’s northern tourism circuit. Yebo Tours has been providing tourism services for visitors wishing to visit the Murchison Falls National Park, Budongo Forest reserve and other places of interest in the surrounding area of Masindi since 1998.

We are able to custom itineraries for visitors to the area to suit your interest, budget and time.

Camping is always the most affordable option. Yebo Tours provide equipment including tents, mattresses, bedding and a camp kitchen to support any camping itinerary into the park and the Budongo Forest Reserve.

Yebo Tours is also able to arrange hotel or lodge accommodation on request inside and outside of Murchison Falls National Park on request of the clients and also book accommodation in Masindi for those who would like to buse the town as a local base to visit the area.

Leave Masindi at 6:00 pm; spend a night at our camp (Yebo Tours camp). Next morning at 5:30 am, wake up for break fast, 6:00am leave for game drive for 3 to 4 hours. There after, back to the camp for lunch.

At 1:30pm, leave the camp for boat ride to the bottom of the falls. Hike to the top of falls then back to Masindi.

Day 1. 6:30 Depart from Masindi at 8:00 and ends at 10:00 depending on where the Chimps are and then back to Masindi for lunch hours. Then at 16:00, drive back to Masindi for lunch at 13:00 drive for Rhino tracking which takes 2 to 3 hours. Then at 16:00 drive back to Masindi then connect to Murchison Falls National Park direct to Yebo Tours Safari Camp for a night.

Day 2. At a quarter to 6:00, wake up for a cup of tea/ coffee, then at 6:00 drive for ferry crossing to the northern part of the park for game drive which takes 3 to 4 hours then cross back for lunch at mid day. After lunch, take a boat at 14:00 to the bottom of the falls which takes 2 hours to get to the bottom of the falls. Then leave the boat to the walk (hiking) to the top of the falls. By doing so, you will be able to view the second falls which is Uhuru falls and the Baker’s rock. While on top of the falls, you can view the Bat Cave and the Bat in case you are interested in seeing them between 19:15 and 19:30.

There after, meet the vehicle to Masindi. Expect to arrive in Masindi from 19:00 to 21:00 depending on the activities you have done.

Bird Watching at the Royal Mile (Budongo Forest Reserve)

The Royal Mile is a well known birding site some 38kms from Masindi. Yebo Tours can arrange trips to this premiere location with trained bird guides so you can maximize your visit.

Our Community Tours

Our community trips provide you with a unique opportunity to interact/stay with the locals in Uganda. Have a first hand touch and feel of the Ugandan culture while on our community tours; enjoy dances, folksongs and Africa tales plus the phenomenon African fire place.

Bunyoro Kingdom Itinerary - 4 Days

Day 1 - We will wait for you at a place called Nakitoma on Kampala - Gulu road 112 km from Kampala and you will be left with 65 km to masindi take you for RHINO tracking about 10 km off main road.

Lunch or super can be served there and even good accommodation are there it depends how you like it to be.

For those who dint have time after rhinos on the same day we can drive up to Hoima for Bunyoro Kingdom cultural site which is like the Kasubi tombs. Spend a night in one of the hotels in hoima.

Day 2 - After break fast we leave hoima town for Katsiha forts there after go to Kibiro hot springs.

see the HOT SPRINGS , and visit the locals see them making salt from the sand.

From kibiro we may hike up back to were we left the vehicle, that is if you like hiking, or go to butiaba by motor bikes experience huge views of Lake Albert , lunch at butiaba.

After Butiaba drive to the escarpment, its a nice view of the lake Albert. There after continue to our YEBO TOURS bush camp for the night. On this night we may go to any other site for accommodation depending on your wish and budget.

In the evening while sitting around camp fire at YEBO TOURS CAMPING SITE you will enjoy typical Ugandan hospitality and be entertained by our local dance group.

Day 3 - We awake an hour before dawn to prepare at 5.00 am for breakfast before departing for a 4 hour game drive around the Victoria Nile Delta region of the national park.

This area is well known for it’s abundant game. You will have excellent opportunities to observe lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, and many types of antelope.

There is an abundance bird life you will also be distracted by during this game drive. For those with keen eyes you may even see a leopard.

We head back to our campsite for lunch.

At 1.00 pm we depart for a 3 hour launch trip to the base of the Murchison Falls. Hippos, huge crocodiles, more buffalo, antelope and birds are common.

For those who wish to hike up to the top of falls by leaving the launch trip our vehicle will rendezvous with you in the visitor’s area.

A ranger from the wildlife authority will guide you from the launch and include a nature walk around the falls. An incredible natural wonder occurs between 19. 10 pm and 19.30pm at the falls where you will have opportunity to observe a mass exodus of bats from the bat cave before we go back to our camp for a night of rest or alternatively we can bush camp at the top of the falls if decided earlier in the day.

Day 4 - At 6.00 am we leave from either of the two campsites to experience a chimpanzee tracking activity on our way back to Masindi at Kaniyo Pabidi. This eco-tourism site is within the Budongo Forest . Breakfast will be taken at Kaniyo Pabidi before starting the chimpanzee tracking.

We will return for lunch athe visitors center Kanyio Pabidi before continuing to Masindi some 26km to allow you to catch a bus to Kampala at 2.30pm.

The bus leaving Masindi to Kampala at 2.30pm arrive Kampala between 6.00pm and 7.00 pm.

This trip can be done by camping or accommodation in typical African hut, or other hotels. The camping/typical african hut, communal bathroom facilities are there to be used.

By camping arrangement all transport from Nakitoma or Masindi, meals, drinking water, tents, park fees dues and for all activities are culutulated and agreed upon .

The trip excludes all other drinks but can be arranged.

The camp is accessible 6km from Paraa Ferry west of the park (Murchison Falls National Park) 200m to Nile Safari Lodge. The camp is composed of Twined bandas (Typical Uganda thatched huts) and modern tents.

We serve all types of food accompanied by a variety of fruits. Drinks are also available. Camp fire is lit in the evening for visitors to sit around as they are entertained by local dancers.

How to get to Masindi by public transport:

There are several buses and taxis from Kampala the capital city of Uganda.

Among them there is post bus, LINK bus and Masindi junior.

Post bus leaves Kampala at 7.00 am, LINK bus has several schedules, first bus leaves Kampala at 9.00 am, arrives at Masindi at 12.00 pm. The second leaves Kampala at 11.00 am and arrives in Masindi at 2.00 pm.
